About Us

"Make a Child Smile"

Reverend Michelle Warren started this Charity in 2004. Here at Lighthouse of God Ministries, Michelle has a passion to help orphans and street children.

We help keep children alive and to give a child a better sustained life.

We are actively involved in providing assistance to St. Stephens Centre, a primary school located in the Kibera Slum, known as the Shanty Primary School. This educational institution caters to the needs of 600 orphans and underprivileged children ranging from 2 to 14 years old.

In line with our commitment to education, we have initiated a new project aimed at raising funds to establish a secondary school adjacent to the existing primary school. This secondary school will cater to children between the ages of 14 and 16 and will be equipped with a science laboratory to enhance their learning experience.

The St. Stephens Centre is led by Angelina Mutio Nduta and is situated in the heart of the Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya. Through our support, we aim to provide a brighter future for these children by offering them quality education and empowering them with the necessary skills for a better tomorrow.

For the past two decades, we have collaborated with Angelina, fostering a longstanding partnership.

The money we raise helps feed the children and pay teachers at the school. We also provide medicine and pay hospital fees if a child is sick. Books and stationary to are given and help for the guardians who take on an orphan.

Our long term goal is to buy land to build a boarding Schools away from the slums, with children's homes and land to build workshops and land to grow crops etc., so it can be self sustaining.
